Conditioners typically appear as white, translucent, or transparent lotions or creams. These hair care products are primarily formulated using cationic surfactants, quaternary ammonium salts, and various oils. They function to tighten and smooth the hair cuticles, moisturize the hair, and leave the hair surface feeling soft, smooth, and lustrous.
If conditioner ingredients remain as residue adhering to the scalp-where they are often difficult to rinse away completely-they can lead to clogged pores on the scalp; in severe cases, this may even result in hair loss. Therefore, conditioner should not be applied directly to the scalp.
Proper Usage of Conditioner:
Conditioners are generally categorized into two types: rinse-out conditioners and leave-in conditioners.
Rinse-out conditioners are applied after washing your hair: take an appropriate amount of conditioner, spread it evenly across your hands, and gently massage it into your hair for approximately one minute, then rinse thoroughly with clean water.
Leave-in conditioners are applied after washing your hair: you may proceed directly to blow-drying your hair, after which you apply an appropriate amount of conditioner evenly to your hair, gently massaging it in until fully absorbed; no subsequent rinsing with water is required.
