Conditioners can be categorized into: clear liquids, thick emulsions or pastes, gels, aerosols, and hair masks.
2. Classification by Function
They can be classified into conditioners for normal hair, dry hair, or damaged hair; anti-dandruff conditioners; styling conditioners; sun-protection conditioners; and post-coloring conditioners, among others.
3. Classification by Method of Application
They can be categorized into several types: rinse-off conditioners, intensive treatments (hair masks), leave-in conditioners, and spray-on leave-in conditioners.
